S&D Prime Maintenance, Inc. enjoys working with our customers in beautiful Hinsdale, Illinois. We have had the opportunity to work with homeowners and business owners in Hinsdale, helping to maintain and improve their properties.

Hinsdale, like other communities in the area, have many homes and buildings older than 1978. The EPA requires any contractor working on painting or renovations on these older properties to be trained and certified on lead paint safety issues. S&D is an EPA Lead Safe Certified firm (see website for more details).

For carpet cleaning, S&D utilizes a combination of truck mounted and portable cleaning equipment to effectively extract dirt, stains and soils from any type of carpeting. Our equipment is also employed to pressure clean ceramic and porcelain floor tile within kitchens, foyers and bathrooms.  S&D technicians are skilled at stain removal and  pet odor elimination as well as offering upholstery and vehicle cleaning.

Working within Oak Park properties present a number of unique challenges. Always of utmost concern is safety. Repair and renovation projects within these older structures require us to follow the new EPA Lead Safety Guidelines, for which S&D is an EPA Lead Safe Certified firm.

With narrow, winding stair cases and entry doors set back far from the street, portable extraction equipment is the best choice to provide effective cleaning.

S&D is also highly aware of the importance of maintaining the historical integrity of the properties we have the privilege to work on. To this extent S&D carefully reviews all projects to determine if the work would in any way compromise the historic nature of  property. Oak Park structures have several components that we attempt to rebuild rather than replace, such as the old pot belly door closers and beveled glass transoms. Every effort is made to rebuild, reuse and retain these components whenever possible.
